MITH 741 - Performing the Digital asks what theoretical and applied research emerges out of the space of digital humanities and the performing arts. It will equip students with a nuanced overview of the history of the digital within performance and explore various technical approaches that can enable the exploration of intersections of research and practice, the connections between creation and research, and yes, even "cool" performance. A final project will take the place of a final Exam. Students of all disciplines and skills (STEM and ARHU) are welcome, and encouraged to join the journey.
Also offered as THET669T and DANC698T. Credit granted for MITH741, THET669T or DANC698T.
